So i did get an E for GP. Not glamourous at all, even though the highest score was a C and im floating somewhere around the average. it seems that i got the lowest of all the lowest scores. CCDEF. all i need was an 'S' grade to complete "a flush of grades". i think u can pick anyone in NJ blindfolded with at least one subject getting a B or above. So this is really bad.
moving on to something else ... more positive. I'm leaving for london on wednesday morning! I'm suppose to look forward to it. but it seems that the CT results are like Dementors, perhaps worse than them. and i still have yet to prepare for my presentation at the sharing session. the reason? i'm totally distracted by that harry potter and the deathly hallows which i got it for free. well, not entirely free. i worked to earn it. anyway, i'm suppose to present with transparencies if i somehow manage to get to the final round. it's like.. WTH? we are living in 21st century and yet we are still using transparencies.
so i went to watch harry potter and the order of pheonix (yea, my life got slightly potty-ish lately) with some of the most unexpected people, well... perhaps not the most unexpected, since i've watched movie with the two of them before. the movie, like what the critics say, was too short and lacked the excitement and actions which was written and portrayed in the book. for example, one of the climax of the movie was harry kissing cho chang. but the movie hardly showed any development in the relationship at all. its like... blink! and they kissed. that's it.. not much of follow up until the part where she revealed the location of the room of wadever and "betrayed" the DA (though she got doped by snape with the ver(blah)-sium (forgot what that potion called). there wasn't much story about the order of pheonix itself either, apart from the start and the end. the death of sirius black came in a bit too fast, but nevertheless, the dueling scene at the department of mysteries was cool enough. not to mention the final part where dumbledore fought with voldemort, that was quite an eye-opener, though u have no idea what spells they were casting at each other. the movie instead of focussed on more of the friends of harry, with the introduction of luna lovegood, who was quite luna-tic. the most "random" person in the entire movie, who also happens to be the person giving emma watson a run for her money (according to the magazine). well, i think she's the kind of "dumb blonde" that gerard likes to call, but a run for the money? perhaps not. maybe Ben will think she is downright hot. but i do admit she looks pretty, though she's a bit too lunatic for her looks. another person introduced, well, not entirely new, but played a bigger role, is Ginny. You can't help to think that the ginny that you are seeing in the movie is going to be with harry in the 6th movie (and doing all those intimate stuff that you can imagine) kiss harry in the 7th movie. its like... EEW. but no choice, the current Ginny was picked years ago...
i reckon that the book itself is one of the best among the seven, even as im reading the seventh book. i guess it was mainly because of the return of voldemort which really changed the story, making it more mature, serious and slightly melancholic at times. i'm still reading the seventh book, so i hope the ending will change my impression of it. so far, the book has been QUITE boring, mainly because the setting is no longer at hogwarts and with only a few pages of excitement. thank goodness i didn't read straits times today as i've heard someone said that it was a spoiler. so do expect some potty-fans write to forum page and start scolding the editor.
but in the meanwhile, i shall continue to live in the magic moment, you just want it to last as long as it could be. right?
