FINALLY BACK FROM CHINA!!!!
man... two weeks of no-internet, no-telephone, no-laptop, no-cableTV is sure a rather bad experience. however, in exchange of these, i made lots of new friends (both from china and NJ). well, thats the whole point for going an exchange programme. lots of smiles, jokes (there are so many that i shall not mention here), laughter and bridge and daidi throughout the whole trip!! haha
went to many places for this trip, hangzhou, nanjing, suzhou, changsha, zhuzhou and shanghai. lots of places to go within two weeks isn't it? yup, its all jammed-pack. as you can see, there are so many places to go, which implies lots of bus rides. and the best way to kill time is to take a deck of cards to play either daidi or bridge. (FYI: daniel is the no. 1 screener man... watch out! haha) I'm sure mrs cheng won't want to see this on our reports, haha.
well.. for the first week of the trip, we went to lots of scenic spots like westlake, sun yat sen memorial hall, temples, zhou zhuang , suzhou industrial park etc. each spot have interesting stories to tell and the sights are real beautiful. but talking about sightseeing, and of course, going up to the nan yue heng shan is the best place man. high up at 1291m from sea level, even doing ur "business" there has a different feeling compared to doing it on ground level.
the second week of the trip is more of exchange as we arrived at Jing Yan Secondary (equivalent to singapore's sec school and JC), the school where long, rongsquare, wuduo, daixi and wusi came from. we played basketball, soccer, tug o war with the students and had lots of fun. we had lessons together with the students too, IPs had chinese (obviously killer), bio, maths and geog lessons. with sixty students per class, and one loud and united response from them make sure that we wont fall asleep! when our class were over, some of us were interviewed by 3 different TV stations in Hunan, giving us this VIP feeling. and i was interviewed too!! (becoz of handong going around say im an american... and you know.. ppl are kind of political nowadays, so they want response from different nationalities) each of us also had a one night's stay (not stand) with our host to learn more about their learning journey in china, zhuzhou in particular. there was a party for the students and us, so we all went crazy playing games together with our host.
the last two days was nothing but SHOPPING!!!! in shanghai, we tried not to waste a single moment to land our hands on cheap and bargain-able stuff!!! and since i have been given order from my parents for not to buy anything for them.. i ended up buying the least among everyone in the team... haha. we went around to take pics as well, especially shang hai tan (very famous place that many old buildings with european architecture still exist and faces the Oriental Pearl TV tower) it was a pity that it was foggy and raining the night we went there, so we went there again the next morning... but of course... the night view is always better...
well.. that should sum up the trip... oh, one more thing.. handong was enlightened by my lameness throughout the trip, so he's kind of lame nowadays. try to get used to the new him.. haha
shall upload the pics later...
