dont talk about ytd... think i flunk the test that i took ytd. before you ppl come and bash me up, i was talking about IMRE test, not maths test. as usual, the IP spirit was withing me when i was trying to revise the thick stack of notes within a few hours. and as usual, things go the wrong way. haha
today was quite a long day. went to school to do the painting for ther serviette handcraft. went to KAP for lunch. then met up with ben, simin and frank to do SPIRE. it seems that with ben around... we got MORE IDEAS. umm, well im still wondering whether his survey works... but nvm. anw, he was talking about my survey being long-winded and blah blah blah. not to mention that he insulted me by saying im doing this for the first time. i was like... WTF?!?! then, our dear smart ben went downstairs to take a brochure of some sort and showed me how good it was. given that it doesnt have any open-ended questions. then i was thinking... yeah.. wuite true, 20 questions with 6 choices. i looked at the front page. SURPRISINGLY, i saw : NKF health screening REGISTRATION FORM. get the idea now?!?! sometimes, we can be quite irrelevant with our actions.. haha
did the crafty laura assignment with kenneth... and now mr tan is giving us some problems.. haha
went to watch SJI renaissance. man, IT ROCKS to the core. haha. as usual, lots of girls came to support their friend, half-bf or bf. and of course, not to mention that many of them are "overdressed", quoted from my ex-classmate, Jeremy Huang. assumingly, that means around 30% wear skirts that were so low that it can never be seen at NJ staircases. but of course, there were some that were very grand, elegant.. and blah... goes down the list. nvm, i shall skip about the girls part.
before the concert started, we realised that we got an extra ticket as one of ben's (most probably a guy) friend can't attend at the last minute. so the four of us, ben, zhirong, justin and me, tried finding someone to come and not to waste the ticket. surprisingly, with the four of us, we cant even find someone to come! haha. ben and zhirong tried looking for Xin Yuan, coz she lives quite near to SJI. but of course, it was so rush that she denied the offer. then we joked that if we see her friend S***** N*, then we will beat him up for her... haha. jkjk.
i think this renaissance was a very memorable one as the former conductor, mr lester lim is stepping down and another new conductor is taking over him. so many of the alumni band members, together with the current military band and the junior band performed well and gave their best shot as a tribute to him. the last piece was his fav song, lao shu ai da mi. the alumni responded by giving him three packets of rice and a big mickey mouse. the school acknowledged his 8 years of service in SJI military band by giving him a plaque as a token of appreciation.
the night ended with a high note when the all the boys in the performing arts theatre sang the school rally, alma-mater and the JOSEPHS cheer. or i should say.. the night ended the SJI way. i thought that i would forget about the lyrics at first, but when the band played the music, the words just came out of my mouth. with no second thoughts, just like a reflex action. once a josephian, always a josephian. it seems that it is in our blood.
